I don't understand this line. I am trying to import my google contacts to my old itouch v 4.2.1. My ipod cannot establish an ssl connection, but I don't know where to turn it on.

Yes in Gmail.
Go to Settings>Mail...>Gmail>Account>Advanced>Use SSL
Make sure that SSL is enabled (under Advanced settings), and that the port is 443. what does this mean: on the ipod(where) or in gmail(where)?
