Hello, I was wondering how I can get my Macbook Pro to not go to sleep when it is closed. I just hooked it up to an external monitor and whenever I close the macbook and put it on my desk the computer goes to sleep. Please help!

Go to system preferences and click energy saver and then drag the display sleep and the computer sleep to never and that should solve your problem
This does not affect the Mac going to sleep when closed. It only changes the amount of time before it goes to sleep when open.
