Problems Importing Canon G2 raw files

I'm using Iphoto 6 and can't import G2 raw files.I get an error message.According to Apple web site canon G2 is supported. I can import Canon 10D raw files w/o problem.
Anyone with G2 get it to work??

Hello jfjr

i did get the G2 RAW files to import using iphoto 6. i can't use the G2 anymore because of some unknown reason the files show up dark even though it looked fine on the camera monitor. i now have the G5 and that also imports into iphoto without problems. the only possible solution i could offer is that the card might be corrupt. have you tried formatting the card? i have run into this problem before and formatting corrected the problem.

I have not been able to import raw images from my Canon G2. I have tried two different Macs running Tiger and iPhoto 6.02. I think the CompactFlash card is OK because I was able to import those same raw images from the card into PhotoShop Elements 3.

A friend told me to delete iPhoto 6 from the computer and reinstall it from the DVD. I hate to do this because of fear of losing existing iPhoto libraries. Any less drastic suggestions would be welcome.

Don't delete and reinstall.I don't think it will help. Canon G2 raw does not work in Iphoto 6. I called support and while the G2 is listed as a
supported device raw mport isn't supported. I guess by supported device they mean you can plug it in and download jpegs . Support refered me to this document.

The only thing I could suggest is converting raw to jpeg if you wanna use Iphoto.
