ipod wont restore it just keeps saying to restore again

i changed the password on my ipod touch 5 and i forgot it almost immediatley! It said connect to itunes after so many password attempts so i tried that! i had never actually synced before so it required a password to connect and obviously that didnt happen because the ipod was disabled...

i tried the advice on this site and set my ipod to restore mode, and itunes began to restore it, but every time it finished, the itunes store told me that it needed to be restored again! So it just kept going in this loop although nothing was actually happening! What should i do? Please i need an answer asap😟
