i saw there is a new iOS version for the iPad mini, could this new version be a solution to the problem in question, i'm always on the move thats why i havent updated yet, but if the update solves the problem i will update asap.

Say I just did a hard reset the sound comes out of the earphones upon inserting them into the jack but should I remove them from the jack for any reason the sound will continue to come out of the main speakers after re-insertion of the earphones. The sound will continue to come out of the main speakers until I hard reset again.
Demo, so it's not necessary for me to update for my wifi is bug-less.
If your WiFi is working OK, and you would prefer to not update, then don't update. If you are comfortable with the MIni as is, you are fine. Some reports are claiming that the update is hurting the device battery as well. So if everything else is OK, leave well enough alone - if that is what you want to do,
