I got my first generation iPad.how come my iPad won't turn off I try to press on the side button still won't turning off.any suggestion.pls

Do a reset by holding the Sleep and Home buttons until the logo appears.

To turn off your iPad you have to press and hold the button on the top of your iPad.
I tried already.still not working .by the way I got the first generation one.my sleep bottom is on the side.
If the button is not working, maybe it's a hardware fault. You might want to get it looked at. Do you have Applecare?
It could be the hardware.yeah I might go to apple store and tell them the problem.my apple care expired already.i might get to renew my apple care.
