Mac Pro 1,1 will run Lion but not Mountain Lion.
Macktracker indicates that a early 2008 Mac Pro is a model 3.1. The OP says that his is a model 1.1. That is in contravention of the requirements for operating Lion on a Mac pro, early 2008 or newer.
Am I missing something here or is Mactracker incorrect in this case?
