I don't have celluar data on my Ipad. what app do I use? In the place on the Apple support screen there are, Airplane mode, Wifi and bluetooth.
Thank you in advance for your help because I don't want to take this back but if I can't figure out how to use it, I will have to.

How do you mean? To get it to connect to the internet? You can always connect it to a wifi network.

If you bought the wifi only option, then you do not have the hardware to add cellular data. You need the wifi + cellular iPad.
I wasn't informed that tere were diffferent Ipads. When I purchased it I was under the impression that they were all alike. I will take this directly back to the store because I have a return date of January 17, 2013. Thanks for the informative help
I am connected to a very strong Wifi network but I still can't access anything online like my gmail account, Netflix, Safari or anything else. Thanks for the help.

Go HERE and see the section: "If you are unable to access the Internet while connected to a Wi-Fi network".
