Damaged Early 2008 case. Can I install all internals in a 2009 or 2010 case?

I have a damaged Early 2008 Quad core Mac Pro. The base feet are bent. I would like to buy a case on eBay that is much cheaper than any on line dealers, etc. Can I put all my internals inside a 2009-2010 case or do I need to find an early 2008 case? I know kind of a stupid question but.....! I bought a 2008 case but the seller seems to be a dead beat and I want to fix this Pro ASAP. Please advise.

The 2008 has a larger mainboard and one or two riser-cards for memory.

The 2009 changes dramatically to a processor "shelf" that holds one or two processor-card-with-memory.

I would be astounded if you could switch across that model change without extreme difficulty.
