I accidentally saved over a Pages file with another file of the same name. Is there any place in my machine where the original file is still present? Thanks in advance for any assistance. I'm running Pages 4.3 on a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion.

Simply place your mouse curser over the name of your document in the top of the window, and select "Browse all versions". You can view all previously saved versions, and restore to them in this screen.
I should have been more specific with respect to versions. The original document is not present when browsing the versions of the document. It is a separate document altogether that merely shares the same title (in this case, today's date) with the file that was saved over.
Did you duplicate the original document, then save it??
No, they're two completely separate files. They're both notes for different courses that share the same title, the date. I went to save the second one and had accidentally hit save when asked whether to save over the notes from an earlier course lecture.
