Does anyone have any idea how I change the name which comes up in the sent part of the email header. Mail seems to have picked my full name up from the name on my credit card which I used for itunes, this isnt the end of the world for me, but a friend has exactly the same problem with a really embarassing nickname that comes up.
Open mail - select the word mail beside the apple, and select preferences. Go to the accounts tab, and select your email account. Change the "full name" section to what you want to on the email.

This solved the problem however interestingly the name in the settings was already the name I wanted to appear, however when I deleted it and re entered it it seemed to do the trick
