Connect to iTunes Screen Stuck

I tried to upgrade to the new update but then an error popped up and my ipod 4th Gen is now stuck in the connect to iTunes screen. Then it pops up and tells me to restore the iPod, but when I try to do that, the process fails and nothing happens....What should I do?
