I have had a series of problems with a 933 MHz G4 iBook.
I have resoldered the known problem pins on the ISL6225 and as far as I can tell all power supplies are functioning.
The hard disk has been erased and an installer is in the optical drive.
At switch-on it chimes but goes no further - I am left with a black (not grey) screen and no functioning optical drive.
It has been like this for a few days and I cannot find a way to get any further.
Any thoughts on things to check or a way to get the installer DVD out would be appreciated.
I have not put the bottom on so can easily monitor voltages and waveforms.
