Why does iTunes not open?

When I open iTunes:If I click "Music," nothing happens.
Under "File," only Exit works.
Under "Edit," "View," "Controls," and "Store," nothing works.
Oddly, under "Help," everything works.

I've done lots of troubleshooting. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the new iTunes. Nothing helps.
Any ideas???

iTunes works just fine on XP with SP2. Ignore Mo-Ben's posts.
