I have tried to download a move but it has stopped because of insufficient space ? but I don't know where it is trying to save it too, in order to make more space.

I have no problems with down loads to ipad but not to my lap top, there is no vdeo app on my pc, the video folder doesnt have much in it, Ddrive ,recycle bin is empty. No sure what else to do.
How much space is available on your laptop's hard drive?
Just checked look like not enough, bummer, wonder if I can get downloads transfered to ipad intead?
Not a rented movie, no. You'll have to clear sufficient space on your hard drive and then try the "Check for Available Downloads" command under the Store menu in iTunes; the movie may be parked there. If it's a purchased movie, you can download it on your iPad if redownloading of movies is available in your country. See these support articles:
