Using Final Cut Express I captured video from Canon Mini DV camcorder Optura 300. I noticed a misalignment between audio and video. There is no misalignment on the original tape. Does anybody know how to capture without misalignment in this case?

Thank you for a quick response. At the beginning of the 60 min tape, recorded at standard speed, the misalignment is 17 frames. At the end of the tape, it grows to 1 second and 20 frames (50 frames).

Final Cut Express/Easy Setup/Use:/DV-NTSC 32 kHz

I captured part of a tape with this option and achieved the alignment.

I captured a whole 60 min Mini DV tape now, and the misalignment is back. I noticed, when I stopped the capture, by pressing "esc", before the end of the tape, FCE took a few minutes to finalize the capture. This likely is when the alignment was created. When the tape end was reached during capture, FCE did not take any time to finalize it, and misalignment resulted. Next time I capture the whole tape, I plan to interrupt the capture a minute or two before the end, take advantage of the alignment, then capture the rest of the tape and manually align the audio with video. In my case the difference usually is 17 frames. Is there a better way, please?
