Why can't I mount an ISO file? OSX 10.7.5

I'm trying to install some software that is an ISO. My mac treats it as a zip file.

I'm running OSX 10.7.5 and these ISO files are fairly new.

I've repaired disc permissions, tried to get the files on this machine in many different ways, like mounted disk images using flash drives, zipping the files, etc..

They work on my Quad Core Pro at work, same OS. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7

Hi, try renaming it to .dmg on the end... or drop the .iso on Disk Utility's icon.
