I really want to play my PS3 that I bought for new years on my iMac, since my HDTV got destroyed on New YEars Eve by a couple of inebriated friends.
Can anyoen please guide me on how I can do this. ATM, I do own a thunderbolt to HDMI-port cable. Would that be sufficient? IF not, what do I need to purchase and how do I connect it all up?

Hi its a shame that Apple did not have a mini display port next to the thunderbolt on the 2011 models you could of got this Kanex XD i know the mid 2010 model works as i use mine with my ps3 🙂
Thanks for that. I turly wish that Sony Entertianment produces a thunderbolt port for the PS3, so I can jam it on my iMac. Or else, my 27" is just going to waste!!!

Well if's totally going to waste I'll offer you a few bucks to salvage part of your investment, how about $150 and I'll pay the shipping.
If I purcahse the Blackmagic Intensity Extreme, will I be able to play PS3 on my iMac 27" mid 2011?
