Don't know what to do...
yesterday I wanted to update my inbox but nothing worked,.. always says 'cannot get mail - the connection to the server failed'
but it just doesn't work with one of my 2 mail-accounts, the other one's doing well..

Delete the email account and readd it.
I've deleted it several times, .... then switched my iPhone .... still no solution
Which email account is it?
hotmail ...
both are hotmail-accounts ... and one works without any troubles .. but the other one doesn't
Ok, this time try adding it through the "other" tab, not the hotmail tab.

My iPhone 5 is doing the same thing just with my yahoo mail. I have turned it off and started it up again, reinstalled the email several times, changed the yahoo password, done everything it says to do on the apple website, still nothing. I tried doing what it said above, but to add under "other" it wants some information that I don't know--incoming mail server host name and user name; and outgoing mail server host name and user name. Any other suggestions?? Thank you.
The incoming and outgoing mail server host name is Yahoo!SMTP Server, and user name is your email address.
I just solve the same problem but with hotmail, the same solution.

so do I type it in exactly like this: Yahoo!SMTP Server
with the space and everything? There is not an option for a space on the keyboard that the iPhone is giving me. It seems to want me to type something and include .com So if I just type in Yahoo!STMP (because I cannot type a space), it says Cannot Connect Using SSL Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?
AAaaarrgghhh this is driving me nuts. Hasn't worked since yesterday at 2:45 pm!
