Q: ARD 3.3 installer and New Macbook Air

I just upgraded from a Macbook (mid 2007) to a new Macbook Air. ARD was installed on the Macbook with my origanal 3.3 installer disk but was upgraded over time to the current version running on on 10.7

Now that I have the Macbook Air, my 3.3 installer will not work.

Does anyone know how to get ARD installed without buying it all over again from the App store?

    Try this:

    • Insert your ARD CD

    • Open in Finder

    • Right click on the Remote Desktop.mpkg and show contents

    • Navigate to contents/installers

    • Drag the RemoteDesktopAdmin.pkg file onto the workstation and install

    • Run Software Update

    • Upgrade to the latest version of the admin application

You may need to completely uninstall ARD, if you had it installed but it won't launch, and then reinstall it before this procedure will work. Follow these instructions for the uninstall:
