Does the LED on your monitor change from yellow/orange (no signal) to green? If it stays yellow, you need to check your video card. Remove it and reposition it in place. That is a hardware issue.
If the LED turns green, the monitor is getting a signal from the computer but if you do not get a startup screen, you may have a software issue.

I have bought new ram, but they did not register after installation,
however it still worked after installing new ram.

It has worked flawlessly for a long time, but one day it just wouldn`t turn on.
Have now taken videocard out and put back again, but no change.
