COPYING PHOTOS TO ITUNES FROM IPHONE

I got a new computer. Each time I attempt a synch it asks if I want to erase the pictures on the iphone/ipad and replace them with the ones on the computer. I want transfer of music, photos, documents etc to go the other way

Syncing is one-way, from the computer to the device. For using a new computer see if this user-tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

If the photos were originally synced from a computer and you don't have them on your new computer nor on a backup, then there are third-party apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
