Jan 9, 2013 12:28 PM in response to sanjampetby davisdogs,Thank you - 1 other question which may include the problem.
on the wifi icon at the top of the Mac, it "suggests" a wifi network to join. I think it's my neighbors and has a password. How can I "forget this network". can't seem to figure out b/c I have never "joined" it. Thanks

Jan 9, 2013 1:37 PM in response to davisdogsby sanjampet,I just opened my Lion machine>airport utility>preferences, check only monitor base staions I have configured, but you might want to look at the other options and see if experimenting with those settings might help. I usually use SL, which is different, and I'm not all that familiar. Maybe there is some interference in the area that is mobile, I know that when there was a bunch of construction, with cops, ambulances, and who knows what else radio pollution was there, this was across the street from my house. I had multiple issues. When they went away, so did my issues. Wish I could be more help. Here are some links that might have something you can use. Best of luck.
