M-Audio Firewire 410 phantom power

Hi

I have a condenser mic and wish to use it with my m-audio firewire 410. I have tried everythiong to get it working but no luck. The phantom power has no effect. There is no levels when tested on the m-audio box. What will make the mic work. I believe it to be more the hardware than the software

First,make sure its not the mic cord.How do you have the m-audio set up?in the sound area?Also check inside the program your using,you may not have it activated.Check the drivers.

Is there an indicator showing that phantom power is active. Also, are you sure that your mic requires phantom power (it's one great way to destroy a mic)? As well, what kind of cable are you using?

i suppose you have pressed the button on the left(phantom power) of the interface and you see it on (red),right?

do you have selected the mic instead of line in the front?
do you have the pad pressed by mistake?

move the gain pot to see levels?

if the above are correct you should have sound.
