Why can't you simply download new itunes, register it, connect the ipod and then synchronise as previously. This would then upload all the songs on your ipod...

Looking at the process to transfer songs (non-purchased i.e. burned from CDs) from an old PC to a new one via and ipod seems way to long for an apple product which are known for their simplicity. Is this the only way. Old PC is very slow and getting any reposnse out of it very labour intensive as it is without lengthy process to copy to and form what is essentially a hard disk.

iPod nano, Windows 7
