Hotmail has suddenly stopped synching on ipad and iphone - "cannot get mail server connection failed".
I have 2 hotmail accounts and 1 of them is fine and the other stopped working on iphone and ipad.
I have tried deleting account and setting up again
AND
turning devices off and on
Please help me!!!!

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I have tried the steps you attached and still not working.
However I noticed that in settings the account that works
Has server details but the account that isn't working
Does not show me SMPT server settings or options.
Any further help most appreciated...

Hotmail is currently having a problem with mobile device access. You will have to wait until they fix it.
Weird that 1 hotmail account seems fine and other one isn't working.
Will give it a day or so and try again.

My mail account is also saying the same thing. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do!
I just set up the problem account again this morning and it's working fine.
Sounds like it was a hotmail prob?
