I bought a 32GB iPod got a 28.5GB iPod

I bought a 32 gb iPod touch fifth-generation when I went home and checked the memory capacity of the iPod it said The memory capacity is only 28.5 GB. What should I do, bring it back to apple and ask them to fix it?

There is nothing wrong. This is correct.

The operating system uses up some space, just like your computer or any other device.

Also, just like you computer, the reporting method accounts for the difference.
