I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and since then, I cannot synch my calendar with itunes with my iphone 3G?

Is that another ploy to make me buy something else? I don't want to put more in the tech grave yard. My iphone 3G is good enough for the usage I make of it. How do I resolve this issue? Thanks
