Email won't connect to server? Was working fine.

Woke up this morning and my iPad won't connect to my email server all of a sudden. I've followed all of the advice about deleting the account, turning off the iPad, and re-adding the account, to no avail, is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I am currently having the same issue with my I pad. It won't connect to either my hotmail or gmail, all I get is failed to connect to server. I have tried all of the apple tips and tricks I can find but nothing helps. The weird thing is that it will grab emails from the accounts but it will only grab one or two the it says failed to connect. It started yesterday and continues today. My wifi is at full bars and safari works fine, so I'm at a loss as to how remedy this matter or explain why it's happening, I have never had an issue before yesterday

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

 Cheers, Tom 😉
