Connect To OXS Server VPN from Ubuntu

I recently setup a VPN server on my home server. It is configured to used L2TP and PPTP, with a shared secret and user login. I know that it works, because I can connect to the VPN from my iPhone and iMac. However, I cannot seem to figure out how to connect to the VPN from my linux box. Any suggestions?
