download speed is slow

Well we'll need more info from you. It could just be the fact your ISP is slow.

I do experience this too.

Bought a new mba last weekend (os x mountain lion). We have 2 systems (a pc and this mba) and pc's download performance is OK, while this mba takes a long time to download...

I unchecked the box in the Airport Utility under the Wireless tab for:

'Allow this network to be extended'

Then I reset my internet modem and everything has been working well with download speeds ~30MB/s and upload speeds ~5MB/s

Had the same issue for about a month in Indiana. Just been using my ps3. But on a whim just tried to do a restart from the settings menu and now things work perfectly. I'm guessing that clears the buffer?

Associated with the download speed is the issue with watching movies directly from Apple TV.

What I do now is to download any movies directly to my Mac and then play them from My Computer through Apple TV. It is much faster to download for some reason and there is no extra downloading if you hire movies.
