i am receiveing and sending sms from my iphone 5

I am not receing or sending any sms till date from the purchase, imessage always shows waiting for activation
iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2
iMessage uses SMS for activation. You say that you cannot get SMS. Does your account with your carrier include SMS? Have they activated it? Does your carrier support the iPhone?
