The main button is not responsive

I think I have to take my ipad in for repair. Trying to avoid that so I don't have to go through the potential hassle of reloading all my apps.

The problem I am having is that the main button is becoming increasingly unresponsive.

I have done multiple resets. The operating system is updated. Anyone had this problem and can shed some light?
