I have tried all the solutions listed in these pages to no avail.

I have tried all of the solutions on these pages and nothing seems to work at all. I have a Netgear WGR612v1 wireless router which works with all my other equipment such as iphone4s, Asus tablet, HTC HD2 phone and my LG Laptop yet I cannot get my ipad to connect at all. Is there a router that does work without having to go through all these solutions or is this the same for all makes and we just have to live with it or return it to the store?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you

That's not the point. Are there other wifi stations, perhaps your neighbours', in range on the same channel? Use a wifi scanner to see what's in the area.

WPA2 is the best security to use, but it may be useful to test without a password to see if that changes things.

My Netgear router allows for more than wifi LAN; can you set up a unsecured one to test it? Pic from my Router Status page below:

There are also widespread reports on the Netgear site refering to iOS6 and wifi problems.

Its worth disabling all wireless security on your router temporarily, to eliminate that as a cause. I have sometimes seen confusion between a WPA passphrase and the number it produces, or whether its 64 or 128 bit security.

Also test within a few feet of the router to eliminate possible interference.

(After that I would consider resetting the iPad's network settings from Settings> General> Reset> Reset network Settings)
