Iphone 5 (For Sprint) signal and message problems.

Why does my iphone 5 (Sprint) constantly not sennd texts and signal goes in and out alot? Love the phone and dont wanna have to get rid of it so is there a way to resolve this problem? Also the LTE is on but still only shows 3g at the top of the screen.
