I am trying to copy photos on my computer into my ipad and none of the suggestions work. I can copy pictures from my digital camera using the device I purchased but not from the pictures on my photo section on my computer.
You can sync them using iTunes.
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

What suggestions have you tried?
The way to do it usually, is through iTunes.
Connect the iPad to the computer and open iTunes if it doesn't launch on its own.
Once the iPad is detected, click on it to bring up the summary page, and then click on the Photos Tab at the top.
From there mark the "sync" checkbox, and browse for the folders that you want to transfer over. They'll appear on your iPad as albums in the Photo App.
I am trying to transfer vacation photos stored on my computer but cannot do it. I purchased a device to transfer photos from the digital camera as well as the USB but cannot make the transfer. How do I do it?
