Q: Keyboard Illumination in dark

HI, i have problem regarding the keyboard illumination and the ambient sensor.

When is dark the keyboard automatically darkens and when is light the keyboard is lighted until a strong sunlight of light is not

directed in the sensor and then the keyboard turns off the light. The automatically monitor brightness adjustment work perfectly.

So i wonder it is normal that the keyboard darkens itself I’m in dark room? Is there a software for adjusting the ALS?

Thanks in advance

That's why there is an ambient light sensor - so the keyboard backlight can adjust automatically depending on the ambient light.

How to control it, or disable it, here.

    Hi, Yuki

Contrary to popular belief, the lower the ambient light, the less backlight you need. The ambient light sensor's job is to make sure that there's enough backlight at all times. The keyboard backlight is designed to only be used in the dark (AFAIK), so it compensates for the brightness resulting from your screen and accidental sources. I would recommend switching off the brightness entirely during the day / when you don't need it in order to save battery life.
