MacBook won't come out of sleep mode.

My MacBook freezes every time I try to wake it after I put it in sleep mode. I have to restart my computer to get anything to work. I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and never had a problem before. Are there any fixes to this, other than never putting my MacBook to sleep.

Try booting normally, but signing in another account, like Guest, or making a new temporary account, and see what happens. The point of this is trying to see if what is happening is related to just one account.

Do you have any additional software installed, like MacKeeper or anti-virus programs? If so, disable or delete them and see what happens. There are several programs, MacKeeper being one often cited, that interfere with the OS.

Here is the output.

I don't know what all that means. I have previously removed the LogMeIn program by dragging it to the trash. I don't use it any more. Also I did boot in the guest account and it wouldn't come out of sleep mode. To be more specific, when I hit a key to get out of sleep mode all I get is the color wheel spinning on the screen as if it is trying, but nothing else happens. I have to reboot the computer for it to work again.

You didn't get LogMeIn properly removed. You will have to reinstall it, then remove it properly according to these instructions:

You should also remove whatever it is that you have installed from be-grace.co.jp. Be sure to use whatever uninstall method that software provides. (I have no idea what that may be, as the site is in Japanese.)

Maybe someone else can advise you what software you might have installed from there... I have no idea, and can't read the site. Doing a clean reinstall of the system (ie, erasing the hard drive with Disk Utility and then reinstalling without importing any applications from your backups) would probably fix the issue, but is serious overkill if the problem is as simple as finding and removing that one piece of software.

Unfortunately, kernel extension files are not always easy to track down, if you can't find an uninstaller provided by whatever software installed them.

I finally found the issue. I did a search on the key words MCT_trigger1 and it turned out to be a usb to vga adapter that I installed a while back. Guess I removed it by just dragging it to the trash. I finally found the disc and unstalled it. Thank you so much for the help. You are awesome! I couldn't have done this without your help.
