Q: Is there any way to get the trashcan button in my gmail instead of the archive button?

I'm trying to make my gmail account look just like my @me.com account. On the @me account, I have the trash can on the bottom where I can delete emails as I read through them. Is there a way to do the same with the added gmail accounts?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2
