I'm an Apple newby. Less than a week. I have iTunes installed on my PC, authorized for Home Share. My iPad mini won't connect to iTunes via home share. Of course I'm using my Apple id.
Any suggestions?

Thanks Tom, I'll go through that and see if I can find a way. So far I've worked my way out of most 'issues', most of them being due to being used to Android and Windows. Hopefully the same here.

And I still get stuck at the same point. In Music on my iPad I go to More, shared and then choose 'Gavin's whatever' (my name's Gavin) I get a rotating circle for a couple of mins and then the iPad goes back to the main screen.
Any thoughts on where to go now would be appreciated.
So, can I assume that Home Share just doesn't work on ipad minis? 😟
It should work, regardless of the device. There's something else going on.
Try reboot your router.

And no, it just doesn't work. I just can't think of any other manuals I can read, any more re-boots I can do. It doesn't work. I go into Music now, press More and I don't even get the Shared option any more.
I can only conclude that this feature is bugged.
Is there anyone out there for whom this works?
I'm having the same issue. I have an iPad mini, too. When I first got it last month our entire itunes played via home sharing with my iPad. Today, only a very few songs appear. As I've read through the forums I understand that this is now a common issue. Hopefully Apple corrects is quickly!

Thanks for the pics. No offense intended but I have read 'the manual' and, as I posted earlier, even sometimes get as far as 'Gavin's library'. And after a minute or so Music crashes. Every time.
