Q: ipad will not connect to itunes

My ipad stopped working this morning. I was unable to turn it on so I tried to reset using itunes. It finally reset but it will not connect to itunes any more. My goal is to restore my ipad. Also I can not connect to the wifi at home each time I tried to type in my wifi password it will not enter.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
