Why Can't I Connect to itunes Store on a Second Computer?

I set up my itunes account on a computer in Florida which uses Windows Vista. Everything works fine and I am able to sync songs to my ipod shuffle. However, when I came home to Wisconsin and tried to use my account here, I had trouble. This computer uses Windows 7. I was able to download itunes but can't connect to the store. I went to the store menu and clicked on "authorize a computer". I then signed in but was unable to connect to the itunes store. I clicked on itunes store help, but no help menu showed up. What can be the problem here?

iPod shuffle, Windows 7

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)
