I downloaded Mac OS Lion on my IMac. I tried to update my Safari after I downloaded the Lion. I get the Safari download window but it is stuck, won't let me close my computer, and I am unable to unstick it. Any suggestions?

I downloaded Mac OS Lion on my IMac. I tried to update my Safari after I downloaded the Lion. I get the Safari download window but it is stuck, won't let me close my computer, and I am unable to unstick it. Any suggestions?

After installing Mac OS X Lion on my IMac, I tried to update my Safari. Safari download window appeared and I checked the "download" box. After 3 hours, nothing had happened. I am not able to shut down my computer. Are there any suggestions?

iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1), Safari update is stuck

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

Open Apple menu > Force Quit, or press Alt, Command and Esc keys, and close Installer or App Store. Then, restart and try installing this again
