iTunes folders not organizing properly???

Hi,

I've just imported two double disc albums from my harddrive into iTunes.

iTunes is correctly showing the disc and track number, but in the iTunes folders for the albums the songs are just list in alphabethical order instead of by disc and track number, e.g. 1-01, 2-05, etc.

Does anyone know why this would happen?

I have the organise library option in Advanced settings ticked.

Cheers.

Go into the get info and check that the Album Artist is the same for all tracks It can be whatever you want.

The Artist field represents the Track Artist and these can be different

For the name field you may want to add Disc 1 or Disc 2 to seperate them

For the disc number do you have 1 of 2 entered or 2 of 2?

Track number should read 1 of number of tracks on album

Then go to the sorting tab and remove any entries there

That should allow iTunes to sort them correctly

Sorry, but I had go out so I'm not on the computer anymore.

However, before shutting I edited the Info on another album I imported this morning.

It was a single disc but I created two discs and the the info in the folder changed and altered the disc and track numbers in the list.

Could the files in the two disc albums be corrupted? They play fine.

Cheers.

Possibly when you get back home try reimporting them..

I tried this several times to avail.

By chance, I discovered that "manually" adding the track number to the file in Finder allows the folder to show the disc number.

I thought that iTunes would do that when the user filled in the track box in the Info tab.

Am I wrong or has iTunes changed?
