Two different memories mini Mac.

I have 4 GB Memory of a micron. I want to replace one of the 4 GB of Kingston and leave the two of micron. Is supposed to be a problem?

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Yes, it will run on different size modules (1+2, 2+4 or 4+8) if the system supports a greater amount. However it is always best to install memory in matching pairs.


Not all, but ots of folks have report problems with Kingston's value ram. It's best to buy from suppliers like macsales.com or Crucial.com that test and sell memory specifically for Mac's.
