Yes there is a way if you enabled in the past the find my iPhone feature you will be able to locate it . On your computer visit www.icloud.com and sign in with your apple id used with your iPod.then open maps it will Automatically search for your iPod.you will be able to locate and erase it however if your iPod was empty or not connected to the Internet it won't show there will be other options .... I don't know any way else I wish that you find your iPod soon and if your iPod wasn't an iPod touch this way won't work I did my best wish you goodluck with your iPod

lost

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.

- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police

- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

- Apple will do nothing
