I'm using Gmail as my mail app in my new iphone.

In my last vacation i met a big problem with my workplace because i couldnt download and see a mp3 file and few attachments with winRAR by email.

I hadnt a pc in near me that time on my vacaton and on the way.

And i wanted to check those WinRAR files and mp3 files download to my iphone and check one by one.

Can you please let me know How to download them using gmail app or any way to do it on the go?

Thank you.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1

there are any apps on appstore, who are able to handle files like zip, rar or so. As an example the app "goodreader" ( normaly an app to handle pdf files) are able to unpack archiv files on your iphone, like rar or zip, and open the unpacking result. Mp3 files are soundfiles, can played with many different apps, you can get over the appstore.

Thanx ichoderso. But i wanted to Download them to my phone and re attach selected ones to another mail and send to another person.

most of the files you have told are just for previewing purposes (hear the mp3 or unrar the file and see) everytime i have to log in to mail and touch the mail and preview the files. (like from a file browser)

i want to download in to a place in my iphone then open and check them anytime.

any tested app? or any way to do it?

    Thank you verymuch .. . .

ok, like i mention, i take the goodreader app for that. in email open the attachement with goodreader ("open with" function) In the goodreader app: ... unrar ...point on the result file ...select "email" ... and ... done.
