image capture not working

Hello All,

since a while I'm having troubble with iPhoto'11 (9.4.2 / 710.42) and Dropbox (1.4.20) while they use the ImageCapture.app (6.2 / 451) in OSX 10.8.2.

- iPhoto starts but doesnt see any connected iPhone and hangs when it is quited (spinning wheel to death).

- Dropbox hangs upon start (sync to death)

I tried a file system check w/ permission repair, but no luck!

I also deleted and reinstalled the ImageCap.app from the OSX 10.8. media, but with no luck!

Any ideas?
