MacBook White 2008 - SSD

Good evening all! Here I am again with another question!

I'd like to upgrade my old MacBook White 2,4 gHz 2Gb RAM 160"HD, Mac OS X (10.5.8) with an SSD. Will it support it? Do I just replace it as a normal HD?

Should I buy something in particular?

My reasons/further informations:

The Macbook is old and I will use it only for rapidly checking stuff on the net every now and then... that is why (if i get a positive response) I'll buy the smallest SSD I can find!
