How do I permanently remove printer drivers including the updater?

My computes keeps bugging me about HP drivers that need to be updated. I do not have any HP hardware and will not have any HP hardware in the future.

I already tried the HP manual driver removal twice: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c01507389&lang= en&lc=en&product=3689344&rule=1376

The HP driver keeps wanting to update itself. I put it on the ignore list, but even then it will continue nagging me when a new version is ready from HP.

How do I prevent drivers (or software) wanting to update? How do I completely remove this driver/update from my computer?

Hi,

First make sure you have no HP printers listed under Print & Scan, if there are any remove them and check for any change.


If the same persists, uninstall its drivers by following Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 > I used Apple Software Updates to install the printer software below:
